This is a simple scissor cutting sheet that toddlers can enjoy from around 18 months old.
I wanted to create something more toddler-friendly with easy-to-recognize animal faces, so I designed this sheet with simple illustrations of just the animals’ faces.
When I said, “It’s an elephant! It’s a lion!” my child smiled and happily started cutting along the lines.
The cutting lines are designed to be narrow, allowing the paper to be cut off in a single snip—perfect for children using scissors for the first time.
Using scissors is a great way to develop fine motor skills and concentration. Cutting along a line also helps children practice hand-eye coordination.
Please print the sheet on A4-sized cardstock. Adults should first cut the sheet into strips along the thin lines. Children can then practice cutting by following the bold lines.
This product is a digital download only. Scissors are not included.
Recommended age: 18 months and up
