Montessori 3-Part Bird Vocabulary Cards – Japanese & English

This is our flagship Montessori-inspired language material, designed to ignite vocabulary learning through the beauty and wonder of birds.

These Montessori 3-Part Cards include three components:
・Control Card – a picture with the name (for self-checking)
・Picture Card – a picture only
・Label Card – a word label only

Children can use them for vocabulary development, matching activities, and pre-reading language games, inspired by the Montessori Three-Period Lesson.

This set is fully bilingual – all cards come in both Japanese and English, making it a perfect tool for multicultural classrooms or language learning at home.

You’ll find a selection of unique and impactful birds: shoebill, cassowary, frigatebird, and more. These are the kinds of birds that spark curiosity and fascination, even among adults.

How to use:
・Start with the Picture Cards and follow the Montessori Three-Period Lesson:
Step 1: “This is a shoebill.” (Naming)
Step 2: “Show me the shoebill.” (Recognition)
Step 3: “What is this?” (Recall)
・Once children are familiar with the vocabulary, introduce the Label Cards for matching
・Print on A4 paper and trim along the gray lines
・For durability, print on thick paper or laminate. Round corners for safety
