This engaging paper spring activity invites children to move their hands naturally as they explore.
By weaving two strips of paper together, children create a spring that stretches and compresses. Watching and feeling this movement encourages focus and hands-on engagement.
The design is inspired by the horse spring riders commonly found in playgrounds. Based on requests from children in the classroom, a unicorn version is also included, adding an extra element of choice and enjoyment.
Both color and black-and-white versions are included. The black-and-white version allows children to color the design freely, making the activity more personal and creative.
Please prepare the paper strips (approximately 1.5 cm wide) in advance by cutting them with a cutter. A well-prepared environment helps children feel secure and focus on their work.
Print on A4 cardstock for best results.
